Venice

Union-Square

Union-Square

IThe place where the people followed European paragons. In the time of the depression was a demonstration. 30 000 unemployed people demand new jobs.
Today the Union Squae is a place where are a lot of people hanging around and artists show their talent.  Often there are artist markets and food markets.

The Union Square is very famous for George Washington-and his horse statue.
It was the first american statue made of bronze.

This is a typical balcony  in America.

I like the mix from modern and historical buildings.

This street reminds me of a small neighbourhood.

Tao - Asian restaurant

Tao - Asian restaurant

The design of this Restaurant is very classy and creative.
Here you can see the really big Buddha.

I look a little bit stressed maybe because of the chopsticks.

It`s so hard work to eat with these chopsticks. But than you eat not that much.

The desert is amazing. A really big furtune cookie filled with ice cream...Yummmmi :-)
My favourite Italian restaurant
and club

Every Saturday there is at 2 o`clock p.m. a brunch which offers really nice food. Pasta, pizza and desserts like Tiramisu and ice cream.

First all people sit like in an usually restaurant at table and eat. After the main dish the presenters turn the music louder and louder.

All people start to dance also on tables. I think this is very unique that this atmosphere changes so quickly into a party mood.

In the end people dance till six p.m on tables.

When you go out of this restaurant and the sun blinds you than you realize that the daytime is over.

Central Park-The resort town from Manhatten

I love New York it has so many different sides. Of course the American people need a resort of the hectic city. So when they like to relax the Central Park is the most popular sanctury.
Let`s have a look to the first picture it shows the romantic side of New York.

The carriage

A street musican you will see them everywhere-in subways, parks...

I`m always happy when I see streets with trees than the place looks like a small village apart from the crazy traffic.

New York is yellow- sometimes i feel like in London. By the way the price for a cab is much cheaper than in Germany.

Around the Central Park is the museums mile.

The City that never sleeps
-Times Square

Times Square its the most well known theaters quater. The large billboards catch somebody`s eye. When I was the first time on the Times Square I realised that I am really in New York. The place is like I  imagined New York. It is stunning you.

Amazing view from stairs.

Flying from small town to  big Apple

After a eight-hour flight  i arrived at the airport John F. Kennedy.  A driver picked me up at the airport and drove me to this adress in Brooklyn where i should live the next six weeks of my life

Brooklyn my new sweet home for the next two months

Brooklyn is one of the fifth Boroughs from New York City and and the second largest area. The rents for apartments along the Eastriver are as same high as for apartments in Manhatten.

Fortunately i really like my home. I live with 13 female models in one apartment with 4 rooms. The apartment is very comfortable in the livingroom you even have a great view on the east river.

You can see the great view from our living room

Luisa my roomate and friend and me are enjoying the nice sunny day.

A typical american smiling ;-)
Now you know how my face looks like when I hear  the question :"How are you?" When you are in America you will listen to this questions 100 times a day. .
